Delivery

  • We work closely with a few select furniture delivery specialists to ensure your products are delivered, unpackaged and (where necessary) assembled for you.
  • Goods are delivered by one-man specialist furniture couriers who cover the majority of England, Wales and Scotland.  Couriers are obliged to deliver goods to the ground floor of properties only.  You will find our delivery partners helpful and courteous, and in most cases they will be happy to assist you with moving goods to first floor level, however there may be occasions when this is not possible due to potential damage to property or possible injury.
  • Drivers may require assistance from you in moving heavy and bulky items from vehicle to your property.  If this is not possible please advise us of this upon order and we can arrange for a two-man team to deliver.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that delivery to your property is possible – we will not accept liability for non-delivery due to factors you have failed to inform us about such as doorways being too small, road parking restrictions, etc.  Please make us aware of any special or unusual delivery conditions at time of order.
  • Should we attempt to deliver on an agreed date and no-one is present at the premises to take delivery of the goods, you will incur a repeat delivery charge.
  • Should you cancel delivery with less than 48 hours notice to the agreed date, you will incur a repeat delivery charge.
  • Although our delivery partners take every reasonable care when delivering your goods, we cannot be held liable for any damages which occur during delivery.
  • All our products are checked for quality prior to leaving our premises and are only despatched if found to be in perfect condition.  It is vital that you inspect any goods upon arrival and sign for them only if you find them to be undamaged. 
  • Should you be unable to inspect the actual goods upon arrival, then please specify that this is the case - inform the delivery driver that you have been able to inspect the packaging only and make any comments about the condition of the packaging clear at this time. 
  • If you sign for goods without checking them, and subsequently find them to have been damaged in transit, the delivery supplier will not assume liability.
  • You must fully inspect all good within 48 hours of arrival and inform Urban Metalworks of any defects or damage.  You will be deemed to have accepted goods if you do not inform Urban Metalworks in writing of any defect or damage within this 48 hour period.
  • We aim to provide great products and service to our valued customers – if you have any dissatisfaction with any of our goods delivered to you, let us know and we will work to fix or replace such goods at no cost to you.
  • All goods leaving our workshop are carefully packed in appropriate materials to avoid damage during transit.  Wherever possible we use recycled packaging materials.  Please retain all original packaging until goods have been inspected – in case of damage in transit the delivery company will wish to examine or inspect the original packaging.
